Mantra is to spiritual traditions of the East what litanical prayer is to spiritual traditions of the West. I use the term mantra to emphasize the sacredness of Sound/Verb and to bring awareness to the use we make of our throat center, as the seat of manifestation in all spiritual traditions, beyond monotheist religions. In sum, a mantra is a symbolically charged sentence that when uttered with intention, fills one’s being with a specific vibration. With repetition, it can induce a state of altered consciousness giving access to one’s cellular structure.
